My Thankful List

Life

I am thankful for Life.  I am thankful for life from conception to natural death.

I was thinking about life because of a young teen giving birth to a child, a young man was injurer in a car wreck, and my mom passing at 87.  All life is precious even an unplan child to an elderly adult.

Thank you, Jesus, for live and that I am wanted.

My Thankful List - A Place to Stay

July 8, 2020

My Thankful List

A Safe Place to Stay

There were times in my life when I slept in my car.  I did not always have a place where I was wanted, a safe place to stay, or I did not always have gas money to drive to a safer place.

Now, I am thankful for safe places to stay.  I have a friend in Flordia.  His home is approximately a mile away from the beach and with lots of places to walk.  With family and friends, I have lots of places to stay in the Upstate of SC and the Mountains of NC,  I also have friends in Illinois.  All the locations in between I have #ChoiceHotels,

Thank you, Jesus, for a safe place to stay. Thank you, Jesus, for family and friends.

My Thankful List - Love

July 7, 2020

My Thankful List

Love

Love, putting others before yourself, caring for others, doing something for others without expectations.  Love is an action word.  You can say it all day long, but until you do something, love is just a word.

Thank you, Jesus, for your LOVE.  Jesus, you showed us you love us by dying for us. But you became our Savior by arising the third day, living in heaven, and watching.  Thank you, Jesus, for sending The Holy Spirit for help, lead, and guide us.

My Thankful List - Hope

July 6, 2020

My Thankful List

Hope

The world defines hope as wanting something to happen.  To me, hope is expecting something to happen.

Thank you, Jesus, for your hope and your promises.  Thank you for your hope of never leaving us.  Thank you for dying on the cross for us and arising the third day.  Thank you for our eternal hope of a peaceful life beyond earth in hope.

My Thankful List - Sunday

July 5, 2020

My Thankful List

Sunday, The day fo the week.

Even though sometimes, we have to work on Sunday, I like to thank God for Sundays.  God set the example to working 6 days and resting 1 day.

Thank you, Jesus, for Sundays.  Thank you for rest and reflection.  Than you for a day off from stress and a day to enjoy you and your love. A day to stop and remember everything that God has done for us.

My Thankful List - 4th of July

July 4, 2020

My Thankful List

I am thankful for July 4, 1776. The Congress of the 13 states voted to be Independent of Great Britain

Thank you for the brave men who wrote the document: Thomas Jefferson with Benjamin Franklin, and John Adams.

Thank you for the 56 men who signed the document, especially John Hancock, the largest signature of all.

In signing the document, they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their honor.  This is what happened to these men: captured and killed, fought to the death, lost their homes and land, and their families were killed.  Just as they pledged with their eyes wide open, they all suffered losses.

In signing this document, they knew that they could be killed by England soldiers.  Do our political leaders have the same strength even until death?

Thank you, Jesus, for America and the 4th of July, USA Independence Day.  Thank you for all the brave men who signed the Declaration of Independence.

Thank you, God, for this special weekend because it is the 4th of July.  Thank you, God, for Freedom we have to worship you and to love and care for each other.

My Thankful List - My Best Friend

July 2, 2020

My Thankful List

My Best Friend

Thank you for my best friend, Jesus.  Before I went to first grade, I asked Jesus to be my best friend.

When life feels like it out of control, Jesus is in control.
When there is no-one, Jesus is always there.
When I am in my 10x10 room where I live and work, I can feel his presence.  When there are no windows to see the outside, he is there.
When my migraines are so bad, and I can not see, he comforts me.

Thank you, Jesus, for being my best friend.  You have never left me.  You are always there to gently guide me when I am lost.

July 2020 Thankful Challenge

The July 2020 Challenge is to post ONE thing From My Thankful List.

Someone ask for me to be an example and post My Thankful List and to show them what did I mean by "Thankful List."

The Thankful List is simply what you are thankful for.  This is how I make my Thankful List.

First, I make a list of people and animals, places, and things that are positive in my life.  I read this list out loud to remind me, I am not alone and there are things to be thankful for.
              Example:  My Office with innernet.

Second, I say why I am thankful and I state it in a pray.  Why can change.
Example: Before the COVID, I was thankful for my office because my office had                             innernet to work.  Now my office with innernet is my safe place to work.

My Thankful List - My Children

July 1, 2020

My Thankful List

My Children

During and after my divorce, my children and I did not get to see as much as we wanted. I always told my children, "I love you, no matter what."  "No matter where we are.  No matter what we are.  No matter what we are doing.  No matter what."  Now my children are adults, I still remind them I love them no matter what, because Jesus loves us No Matter What.

Thank you, Jesus, for my children.  Thank you that they are keeping in touch with me.  Jesus keeps your protective arms around them and keeps them safe.  Jesus, stay close to my children, no matter what.
