THINK FIRST

STEP 2 ... THINK FIRST

I was talking to an old friend today.  We were talking about a Victory from God.  During the conversation, I noticed that the word "I THOUGHT" was used several times.  
Jokingly, he said I have a problem with my mind, a thinking problem.  I have thoughts and sometimes they get me into trouble.  I have to work hard on getting my mind right.

I agree you have to think before you act and be honest with yourself.  Re-acting and not thinking always gets me into trouble.  Ask yourself honest hard questions.  Remind yourself that there are consequences for all the positive and negative things we think, say and do.  

    Example: I have a problem with my weight.  I was at Office Depot buying a chair for the office.  I was in line and what do they have at the counter ... CANDY!  My mind was saying, "you deserve a piece and it's just one piece".  As I was reaching for a small piece of candy, I stopped myself.  I asked are you willing to walk an extra mile to eat that cand?  My answer was NO. This was a small victory on losing weight.  One baby steps at a time equal pounds in the long run.

Think about your negative actions.  Make a list of questions you can ask yourself when you are being tempted.
